Top 10 Star Wars Games

So today is the magical May the Fourth be With you, or well May 4. I've decided it best to rank the top 10 best Star Wars games of all time. I also enjoy releasing a walkthrough or something about Star Wars around this time each year so it really gets me into the mood of recalling my favorite entries in the series. So here are the best, from your first person shooters to real time strategies or the massive online. Whatever it may be, Star Wars has a game of that style and I've picked my favorites and feel free to tell my if I'm wrong in the comments.

#10: Star Wars: Empire at War

Taking a try at the real time strategy game, Empire at Wars brings us the worlds of Star Wars and lets us handle mass amounts of units on the battlefield. It's great to see the universe from a different point of view for once.

Star Wars: Empire at War

#9: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Paving a new path in the Star Wars universe The Force Unleashed lets us play as a sith apprentice that begins a series of missions to become one of the most powerful force wielders in the galaxy. The series which spans two games was best performed in the first with great lightsaber, force and story.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

#8: Star Wars: Galaxies

This is a game that lasted for a very long time and is something I would like them to truly try again in this day and age. Now the new Old Republic attempts to capture the online game that allows you to feel a part of universe, but Galaxies really let you live it with expansive worlds and planets. A truly unique and massive world.

Star Wars: Galaxies

#7: Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga

When I first played the original Lego Star Wars game I was enthralled and amazed by it as the game was something absolutely unique. It started the Lego game craze that has spanned multiple franchises and games over a decade with The Complete Saga being the pinnacle of it all.

Star Wars: The Complete Saga

#6: Star Wars: Jedi Knight II Outcast

An old favorite featuring the best lightsaber effects, combat and handling in all of Star Wars provides a great story with classic multiplayer settings. This was a great entry into the franchise and an amazing sequel in the Jedi series.

Star Wars: Jedi Knight II Outcast

#5: Star Wars: Republic Commandos

With a different take on Star Wars you are put into a squad of elite Clone Commandos taking on a series of missions. It was something different and always one of the most acclaimed games from the franchise.

Star Wars: Republic Commandos

#4: Star Wars: Battlefront

Battlefront, a name that everyone knows and has played when it comes to Star Wars games. I don't know if it was the thrill of battling on various planets or the interesting galactic conquest. Fighting in all eras of the series it is one of my favorites and always will be.

Star Wars: Battlefront

#3: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

Taking us back into the good old days of the Republic we get to take a glimpse into the pas t which had never happened previously. The game gave you an RPG feel also unique with you choosing your path and this itself spawned many extra titles.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

#2: Star Wars: Jedi Academy

The last Jedi series game we got lets us basically live our own path as a young jedi with choices of sides to progress on, famous characters and a glimpse into the Expanded Universe (RIP EU). You were able to build your own lightsaber and the multiplayer was amazing. Something to even play at this day and age with all those mods being created for it.

Star Wars: Jedi Academy

#1: Star Wars: Battlefront 2

I don't think I know anyone that doesn't love Battlefront 2, the best game of all the Star Wars titles. Hours were wasted away doing conquest or being a Jedi in the special Hunt modes. I mean, you got to become an ewok, a jawa or a wampa! The campaign story was great and let us play as the 501st while securing the empires place in the universe. The multiplayer is amazing and still played with many people, I've been waiting for the third for so long. Glad to see it is coming in some sort of fashion.
