Older Xbox One Games Deserve a 4k Upgrade

With the goal of Xbox moving towards a long lasting service and a push for a new standard of 4k graphics, some of the older Xbox One games deserve a 4k upgrade. This being in regards to many of the earlier exclusive games having no announcements for getting an upgrade and those games sadly getting lost at the launch of the console. The start of a generation is always tough with a smaller install base and now would be the best time to somewhat re-launch these games with a small update or fresh code of paint.

It might not take a ton of work to get these games running at 4k or even just adding some enhancements to get the games running even better as a number of them could really shine with a small boost in resolution. The work on Forza didn't take long to get it running smoothly and I couldn't see why it would be hard to give the older games a boost. This would include early releases such as Ryse: Son of Rome, Sunset Overdrive and Halo: The Master Chief Collection (I'll never give up on this game getting a proper 4k release!). It would be even better to see some later games such as Rise of the Tomb Raider (Xbox one year early); Quantum Break, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition (no reason not to, has the option on Windows 10) or Ori and the Blind Forest (4k is lovely on Windows 10).

Older Xbox One Games Deserve a 4k Upgrade
While there's certainly a decent and growing list of games that will be getting a better update for the Xbox One X, these games that are just a couple years older aren't seeing anything. When you compare this to the Playstation 4 Pro, a pile of the early exclusives received a boost including titles such as Knack or InFAMOUS releases and even the early re-release of The Last of Us Remastered.

It would just be nice to see some care go into the Xbox exclusives that are available since the games I listed are all rather fantastic. Ryse already looks gorgeous and with a bump in resolution it would really shine. Sunset Overdrive could use some care to see if the later audience cares enough to get it going for a sequel and Halo MCC just needs some sort of attention as it's the flagship series of the console. Seeing these earlier games improved in any regard as a refresh for Xbox One X would go a long way for securing the longevity of the games and showing care towards some titles that have been forgotten an extent.

There isn't a ton of exclusives available at the current time so there should be a push to get what is possible to shining standards. I would absolutely love to see any of the mentioned titles getting a nice 4k boost or anything of the such since some run below 1080p and with this extra power they could present much better than they did at launch.
