Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Zombies Chronicles Price is Ridiculous

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Zombies Chronicles has been announced and the price is ridiculous, I can't fathom where someone came up with the idea to not make this a standalone or at least cheaper. The DLC pack will cost $29.99 USD with eight iconic maps that you've probably already paid for and requires you to have Black Ops 3 to play. I'm sorry Activision, but no. No. You don't get it both ways, you either charge that much for a standalone or you make it a cheaper add-on for the main game/bundle it.

I was considering grabbing this pack just to replay the zombies maps as I love it, but I'm not paying for the still full price Black Ops 3 and then paying more for this. That's just crazy and even though I've enjoyed these maps there's no way this package is attractable. There's no way this is fan service to any degree and it causes disappointment with some anger. I'll also briefly add the maps in the pack; Nacht Der Untoten; Verruckt, Shi No Numa, Kino Der Untoten, Shangri-la, Moon and Origins.



I've always enjoyed the zombies mode since they added it in World at War and was happy to get all the maps in one package for Black Ops since they did great work updating them. I'm just not going to pay for them again when I know the return on investment for any improvements will have completely diminished and I doubt they revamped them other than adding weapons/machines from the latest game which ruins the original atmosphere anyways.

It's also going to be first on Playstation and while I have both, I primarily play on Xbox. So I get maps I've already paid for twice with most of them, get it after other players and have to buy Black Ops 3 to access them. That's terrible, I can't imagine any way to spin that in a positive light and you'd have to be damn hardcore of a zombies fan to pay $30 if you do own Black Ops 3 already. Activision must be looking to recoup Infinite Warfare costs because between this and the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Variety pack these prices are getting purely ridiculous. If you want to waste money on this, go ahead I guess but the Black Ops 3 Zombies Chronicles price is ridiculous.
