Modern Warfare Remastered is set to get a new DLC pack with the return of the Variety Map Pack on March 21, 2017. This pack includes four classic maps that were originally a DLC for Call of Duty 4 when it released around decade ago and while it's been a long time, you're going to have to pay again for it. The price was noted as $19.99 CAD and confirmed for $14.99 USD releasing first on Playstation 4 with no storepage currently available for Xbox or Steam PC. As with other timed DLC in Call of Duty, I would expect this to release a month after on other platforms. This pack includes remasters of the maps; Creek, Broadcast, Chinatown and Killhouse.
The description for the maps follows; "Re-experience some of the most epic maps in Modern Warfare history, including 'Creek,' a wide-open village ravaged by combat where concealment is the difference between life and death 'Broadcast,' an enemy communications building with confined corridors and wide-open parking lots 'Chinatown,' a foggy downtown district, lit by a full moon and the neon glow of the city and 'Killhouse,' a tiny warehouse for maximum close-quarters chaos."
Playstation 4 owners will also receive a dynamic Variety Map Pack theme for their home as well as 10 rare supply drops for pre-ordering. It's somewhat ridiculous that for this already expensive remaster (as you had to buy Infinite Warfare to get) that you need that much extra money for maps about ten years old. While they've been touched up and the past maps have been amazing, I'm not sure any other remaster has charged for DLC before. I'm still looking forward to getting the maps to play again and the trailer can be found below.
