Every Street United Episode 2 Review

"Selection is Finished"

Episode

The second episode of Every Street United brings a conclusion to the selection process of the street football players. So we now have the eight selected players chosen from around the globe and at this point I feel the first episode had some stronger athletes, though that remains to be seen. I'm quite interested in seeing how the next six episodes will work as I assumed the selection period would be much longer. Though the pace has been fine throughout the selection period, with this episode feeling much quicker than the last. It also felt like a lot of the same as well, with the players actually being less interesting as they didn't really showcase to much talent. That in comparison to the first episode where they were rolling balls around their necks and dancing about. Perhaps it wasn't as filling as the last episode, but it definitely sets up the future episodes when teams are picked and trained to hone their unique skill sets. It's great to take a look at the full roster at this point to pick favorites as we most certainly should see teams or forms of teams set up for the upcoming third episode next week. There's also side things you can do in regards to the app such as voting, or playing a scene search game.

The Conclusion

This episode just didn't capture the same interest as the first did and that may be the fact it felt quicker or the athletes weren't as interesting. Though we still have a bunch of episodes left and these first two are just building towards future ones. I'm still more interested in the later events when we get to see these players in action out on the field. The differing skill sets and regions should create a great mix-up.
