Top 10 Xbox Backwards Compatible Wishlist

Backwards compatibility has been talked about for awhile and I'm on the preview program so I've been enjoying a number of titles from Xbox 360 on Xbox One. Though honestly after this first crop of really ancient games is available I've decided to make a sort of wish list for titles I would like to see come back maybe because they presented huge milestones in gaming or were a ton of fun. I'd also like to mention the amazing Shadowrun which I decided to exclude from this list. Please vote for the game here, it's really great. I would also like to mention that this was a hard list to make since so many games are desired for backwards compatibility and if I missed a favorite of yours you can let me know down below.

#10: The Orange Box

This is one of the best collections ever created, though it's severly outdate compared to the PC counterparts each of these games were fantastic in this ever special bundle. I also just bought this recently on sale digitally, so let's get this done Valve and Microsoft!

The Orange Box Xbox One

#9: Crackdown

The original Crackdown game was just awesome, it's essentially the story of becoming some super badass agent while slaughtering hordes of gang members. Remember agents, kills for skill and it also originally came with the Halo 3 beta so that's something. I'd take either of the two games as this open world shooter was always just a blast to play with friends.

Crackdown Xbox One

#8: Borderlands

This quickly became a series and the other titles are already remastered for Xbox One so I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see this title come over as well even if that's via backwards compatibility. It was one of the first titles to truly conquer the RPG genre on consoles and with the feeling of a FPS shooter this was a completely unique game and the world of Pandora is wonderful. I'll never forget the various entries for characters which was always entertaining and this is a must for those have only played the sequels.

Borderlands Xbox One

#7: Bioshock Infinite

Why specifically Bioshock Infinite? I'd prefer to see this one straight ported since it was one of the best games I've ever played, but because honestly I'd like to see the two original games given the proper remaster treatment as this one holds up well enough at this point to just be available for the latest console.

Bioshock Infinite Xbox One

#6: Fable

I'd really prefer to see just the Fable: Anniversary game released though honestly I would not mind the entire trilogy coming over as well. It's already in a bundle so it shouldn't be difficult to port over or even better yet, a full remaster to current generation standards would also be great. This is one of the best RPG titles of all time with ambitions that even the titles could never reach, the balance of change while also having morals effect gameplay still hasn't reached the level presented within the Fable franchise.

Fable Xbox One

#5: Dead Rising

One of the first titles I played or well many initial Xbox 360 players enjoyed was Dead Rising. This intense and mature title wasn't ever expected to be as loved as this was. The story, the protagonist Frank West and the zombies were stunning. No one had seen this sort of scale or weapon usage before and this was only elevated with deeper customization for the sequel which I'd like to also see come over.

Dead Rising Xbox One

#4: Alan Wake

Playing as this writer you're set out to discover what exactly happened to your wife when the darkness strikes. The darkness is your enemy and light is the only ally you can rely on in this twisted world. From the genius of Remedy we're presented with this almost TV or movie styled cinematic universe which was such a joy. It should honestly get a proper remaster since this title deserves it though I'd settle for backwards compatibility.

Alan Wake Xbox One

#3: Left 4 Dead 2

While the PC version kills the console iteration for Left 4 Dead 2 the vanilla version that was the console version never fails to provide a great cooperative night. Filmed with zombies that can be dismembered in another ways and hordes of special infected this title was great. By the end of DLC this game also had all of the original Left 4 Dead campaign included alongside another campaign. It's packed with content and hours of zombie killing with friends. Remember that the apocalypse is better together!

Left 4 Dead 2 Xbox One

#2: Gears if War 3

While the original Gears of War is getting the Ultimate treatment for Xbox One I'd also love to see Gears of War 3 head over via backwards compatibility. It's a solid game and a perfect end to the trilogy with graphics that hold up very well at this point so no need of a remaster. It would also be nice to see Gears of War 2, though the third one is definitely the better of the two and much more desired to be ported over.

Gears of War 3 Xbox One

#1: Call of Duty 4

I picked this title because I believe Cod4 was the best of the entire series that has been running far past its prime. This title could also basically be exchanged for any of the older Call of Duty titles since I feel the entire series should be sent over and maybe even cleaned up server wise. These older games are classics and proof of why this series has taken the top throne for so many years. The fourth entry was the start of it all so it only feels right that it should be priority here, also Call of Duty 3 which was great.

Call of Duty 4 Xbox One

So let me know what I left out below though honestly I have some ending comments. I didn't place Halo Reach or Wars here since I'd like them to be included within the Master Chief Collection for better mapping and so that it doesn't get left behind over time. The Transformers games War for and Fall of Cybertron were also great games I'd like to see. Finally Shadowrun is a title often over looked by many which was just left behind though you can still always find players on it so maybe treatment on Xbox One may give it proper exposure as with many titles like it.
