"Radical Roach with a Scarf"

Campaign

An atomic bomb drops, followed by many more after it. In the distance a hero arrives; one with a fluffy red scarf, one that's the Radical Roach! It sounds ridiculous and is actually quite hilarious, as our hero in this story is a mute roach faced with a massive number of enemies and all the odds against him.

Fly around in a horizontal fashion while moving up and down as the end of days wages on in the background. From this style the roach is met with a weird enemy and from there waves upon waves of other various creatures are sent after him in an effort to destroy the roach. Though fret not as the roach has super powers I can assume are gained through the radiation, I have no clue though.

These are the ability to spit green acid shots, have a shield surround him for those tough spots and shoot a massive beam of energy that really just disintegrates all enemies in its path. Now these abilities when you used properly will really save you on the battlefield. RADical Roach is really a very fast paced game with enemies sprawling across the screen in variation and even a number of obstacles to dodge or go through along with a number of boss variation creatures to deal with.

There are a good number of stages also present within this experience from which branch out into individual levels that vary in apocalypse form. Some levels were somewhat difficult, but more challenging as I had a desire to continue through them forming new flying strategies. For some reason I found this whole scenario and the main character rather charming for an enjoyable time.

Gameplay

Really as stated above it's a really quick side scrolling flyer that has you shoot across the screen wildly while using extra abilities to assist. The controls feel really fluent and the artwork is actually fantastic in the main focus along with the backdrop.

The waves of enemies is rather interesting to learn as there are of course patterns to them and the difficulty is really more of a challenge than anything. I will also comment that there's a good variety within the number of differing enemies and their attack method which keeps it interesting.

The Conclusion

RADical Roach is a lot of fun, it's a charming and interesting game. Become the roach as you battle it out in this end of days scenario and defeat them evil creatures that are trying to take over the lands.

You really will have a lot of fun playing the game and I had no really issues with the gameplay or anything while I was playing. I was having a great time through what I played and will continue to play on the odd occasion as it was quite a blast. So take control of the roach with the fancy scarf and save the future in-progress of being destroyed world!
