Suicide Squad Review

The Game

Suicide Squad combines a group of villains from the Batman universe to take on a series of deadly tasks. With that we're given a mobile game based on the movie that gives us access to three of the core characters from the movie. These three members are Deadshot, Harley Quinn and El Diablo with the ability to switch between them during rounds. The game plays out as a survival mission where you're attempting to live as long as possible scoring points as waves of enemies pour out. This actually works well being a great time and providing a bit of a challenge. I wish there was a bit more to the game aside from this mode, but it is a solid offering.

The survival arena also expands as you continue to complete waves offering a fairly large battle space with distinct areas. There are also ammo caches to collect in order to fill your supply or even bonus crates that grant extra abilities. Each character has two weapons and a special unique ability which kicks them into overload. The weapons are also tailored to their classes being right from the movie which was a nice touch. I also was a huge fan of the graphic style being cell shaded and feeling much like Borderlands.

Suicide Squad IOS

Suicide Squad was a decent mobile title that definitely created an entertaining battle arena, but just lacked the content to make it a full experience. It actually had quite a bit of potential for perhaps being an average console port if there was more to it, but that's how it goes. The game does look incredibly good on mobile sporting lovely graphics while capturing the core roster of Suicide Squad members well. Each has their own set of abilities that work well from El Diablo's flame hands to Harley Quinn's signature bat. It's a small experience that you'll probably forget as there isn't much to it, yet you'll enjoy the time you do spend.
