The install size for Minecraft Nintendo Switch has been revealed for the Bedrock version coming in at an absolutely tiny size at launch releasing on June 21, 2018 and taking up a total of 518 MB on the Nintendo Switch eShop. This is not to be confused with the "Switch Edition" that first released, this will be a new free download for those that owned the original version. Future players will only have access to this whether that's digital or at retail. This new iteration runs off of the Bedrock engine which allows cross-play with Xbox One, Pocket Edition, Windows 10 PC, IOS, Android and VR enabled Minecraft devices.
It also brings multiplayer servers, Realm access, eventual add-on support and the Minecraft Marketplace for community based quality content. There's cross-buy with coins that allows access to mash-up, texture, skin and world packs across the platforms when purchased once. This is the ultimate compressed and full version of the game featuring smaller data worlds that are ever lasting. There are new features, a more robust setup and it will arrive with the Aquatic update bringing life to the oceans. This is the best way to craft, survive and work with others no matter where they play the well loved Minecraft.
