The LEGO DC Super-Villains Batman: The Animated Series Level Pack is a celebration of the character's 80th Anniversary. This pack provides an interesting style, from a series that wouldn't typically get inclusion within a game. This pack is based around a tiny portion of this specific animated series. You get a small selection of a story, and a neat custom visual style.

It looked really cool getting this extra level of animation on top of traditional LEGO gameplay. The narrative in this pack is based on is the "Mask of the Phantasm". As Batman you'll team up with the Phantasm to tackle The Joker in a boss fight, as well as a minor villain in the form of Captain Clown! This is essentially a small battle room where you're solving a minor puzzle, and then right into a fairly simplistic fight against the Joker. There's not a whole lot to it, but a neat visual style and the story was definitely different.

The Conclusion

The LEGO DC Super-Villains Batman: The Animated Series Level Pack isn't amazing, but a very neat look at the history of the Caped Crusader. You get a small little puzzle area to solve and then you're thrown into a fairly simple boss fight. It's nothing too fancy, just a quick extra short mission to playthrough.

I thought the Phantasm was a neat addition, as was the visual style they chose for this particular pack. I just continue to wish they'd push these DLC pack concepts further to present us with what feels like actual content. It's just so quick to move through, a mini level as to say in comparison to main missions within the regular package. This brings some neat extra characters as play as, and it's just a cool part of the Batman history.
