What exactly is Starwhal: Just the Tip? Well I can start off by saying it is ridiculously awesome! Or well Radical as one of the graphic settings describes it as. You play as a vibrantly colored space Narwhal that flies about basically trying to stab the other three differing colored narwhals that are floating in the same space. With sparks and wild vibrations on the edges you attempt to wildly spear the others in their massive hearts to win the battle. Then again regular deathmatch or survival is not the only mode available as there are some objective based levels. The standard hill holding, one Narwhal is the target and those are just examples as more are to be added in the future by the looks of the menus. Aside from modes there are a number of differing maps to play on which have some dynamic looks to them and really topple any strategies as they can vary greatly. Each of these are really cool add well to random space battling gameplay. For your individual Starwhals you can change their color scheme while also picking extra little goofy items which personalize the gameplay that much more. Designed in more terms of local multiplayer I find the Starwhal would benefit a lot by adding the online multiplayer which has been discussed as something that may come out at some point and it would be even more awesome if brought to consoles at some point as it already seems optimized. Starwhal is just something unlike any other, the style and colors make is something truly unique. The combat and movement may seem wonky, but it creates a balance of random play as everything goes into slow motion as you attempt to take out the others. It is a close balance in combat with a random factory the gives everyone a chance to win at any moment. Starwhal: Just the Tip is well worthwhile game to try and even compete in, I'm excited to see how it will change in the future!
