Here's a quick guide on how to setup Discord on Xbox One. This is one of those Xbox Insiders first situations so it may not yet be available to everyone. If you do have access to the integrated app you'll be able to follow the instructions to quickly get everything going.
If you're somehow not familiar with Discord, it's the incredibly popular chatting service for games. It allows text or voice communication and many great bot based features for managing things. Guide is below.
First off, you'll need "connect" Discord to Xbox Live. This can be done on PC or Mobile devices through the app, initially this will just work on IOS or Android as they continue to develop the chatting service.
A final note before jumping into the steps is to mention that this will share what you're doing on Xbox despite any on-console privacy settings at the current moment.
Go to Settings > Accounts > Linked social accounts
Select “Link” under Discord
Follow the instructions on your screen to start the account linking process:
Say ‘yes’ to the MSA consent dialog, allowing Xbox to share your information with Discord
A 6 digit PIN code will show up in your console
Go to your Discord app and insert the 6 digit code that shows up in your screen
Accounts should now be linked and your Xbox presence will start being displayed in Discord
If you say ‘no’ to the consent you’ll go back to settings, account won’t be linked
That's all there is to it, I hope you found this quick guide helpful for setting up Discord on your Xbox One console. Check out the hub for additional coverage below, or a recent review as well.
