Gears of War 2 Xbox One X Install Size

The install size for Gears of War 2 on Xbox One X has been revealed coming in at a decent size with the enhanced option being available starting April 10, 2018 taking up a total of 6.93 GB on the Xbox Marketplace. The install size was grabbed from the console with the game having been given a fairly average update and it now showing up under "Xbox One X Enhanced Games" tab. 4k assets for games are automatically available to those on the Xbox One X. After the update enhanced graphics will be turned on by default, this will run your game with higher resolution at 9X the pixel count with increased texture details and antialiasing. There are no mentions of HDR support, but the game does render at 4k resolution.

Gears of War 2 is the big follow-up to the original title that aimed to elevate the series to new heights. It was no longer a one sided war after the events of the previous installment and the team was sent down into the Locust hole to deal with them personally. It was a more emotional tale as Marcus discovered distant secrets and Dom searched for his wife. You do this all with some old friends and fresh faces throughout the narrative. Aside from the cooperative campaign there was also Horde and Multiplayer options.

The multiplayer was a greatly expanded upon offering with levels to rank up, new weapons and a pile of maps. There are many more present now as well since all DLC is free as we reported earlier in the week of this becoming enhanced. With that DLC offering was also a new deleted scenes campaign level "Road to Ruin". Horde allows players to work together in a squad to tackle waves of Locust, it can be intense. The Horde allows use of any multiplayer level so there's a lot of options if you want something cooperative to play.
