Goat Simulator has let us be a goat almost anywhere and now we head to space, as a goat. This DLC, Waste of Space adds a whole new large area that takes place entirely in the emptiness of space. The general goal here is to earn money through smashing or collecting it and then unlocking Kickstarter tiers. It's definitely hitting the right notes there making a mockery of the crowdfunding service and specifically the large scale game Star Citizen. The area is also loaded with pop culture and mostly Sci-Fi references which were fun to explore. I did however have huge performance issues with this pack to the point of it making me feel ill at times. I get that the joke is that it's supposed to be buggy, but it should run somewhat stable at least. The Goat Simulator packs are fun to play with great jokes and while there's a good chunk of content here for fans, the performance was horrible.
The concept of unlocking new areas by collecting money was great and helped bring order to the pack a bit better than having an open world to explore. This doesn't mean I prefer either form since both are fine, it was just a nice change of pace in the game. I enjoyed the comments of mockery towards other things and the additional goat mutations that were present, I just wish it was stable to play. There's also speederbikes to ride, spaceships to fly as a goat and many goaty activities to take part in. You can even take on some creative Portal based challenges with companion cows or take aim at the face friendly aliens. There's a lot to it as usual with content that fans will enjoy, but it just plays very poorly which was disappointing.
