"Antman Table"

The Table

With another exciting Marvel release upon us we're presented an additional themed table for Pinball FX2 with Antman. The table itself is absolutely beautiful with so many tiny details that make every moment extra special. This includes the neat mask, items around the table and the giant figures present. These include the Antman, Hope Van Dyne and Yellowjacket which constantly engage with one another throughout every playthrough. It was great to see this many characters interacting at once during the various rounds I played without them getting in the way of what was happening on the table. I go on to say that unlike other tables where characters distract or block views these ones were presented in a fashion that didn't negate from the core point of pinball. There's also a good number of side events which take place alongside the missions which really act as side mini games while pinballing. The lanes of the table are well presented in what's a really open space table. Most of the tracks send the ball flowing smoothly around the map without issue and allow for simpler targeting. There's also a great vibrancy of colors present within this table which I've noticed other ones seem afraid of which creates an appealing look all around. Aside from the colors there's also some great minor details with effects like hitting the blue sphere at the top or getting hits on the targeting system which shows occasionally. I also noticed that the score inflation was particularly vast for this map despite doing simple things and that wasn't anything I've seen for previous table.

The Conclusion

Antman is an amazing table to play on, if that didn't come across above I really want to make that statement. It's a dense, yet open table where there's great elements that feel like the movie while also being a unique table experience. I question the choice of making the multipliers so inflated for score though it's all smooth and the characters battling on the table are also a great touch. This is probably the best table I've played so far or at least the best super hero styled one. I definitely suggest checking out this table if you're a fan of the universe of generally love pinball tables.
