With the upcoming release of the might Avengers 2 I had figured that Zen Studios would cook up a table to run with that theme. With that, we're close to the launch of Avengers 2 or maybe even past depending on when you're reading this. Matched to the style of the movie you'll Ultron and his robots take on both Iron Man and Black Widow. A seemingly weird choice, but I suppose they represent two groups and are quite popular characters. There's some neat action that takes place while you're knocking the steel ball across the table which was well done and doesn't do anything to block or distract from the table. Moving onto the actual table I did find the side paintings to be a tad dull despite being from the movie and capturing some scenes. It just seemed too grimy for me considering that Marvel movies are typically brighter in theme. I did like the bright neon blues and particularly the flippers are which was well done. Even the table had a great flow, though it just didn't shine through with the color palette presented. I also really didn't care too much for the rather simplistic table design, just felt like there could've been more to the actual lanes.
From my comments it may seem like I disliked that table, and that really isn't true. It all feels like it matches within the universe and movie, just has a dull atmosphere in the color scheme. Other than that it's still a solid table with great lane flow which makes for a well done pinball table. Was just expecting a bit more to it considering the tie in, enthusiasts will of course love the table as always. For regular occasional players it will really come down to preference of setting on this one.
