DayZ Xbox One Leaning Guide

There’s definitely some confusion in regards to mechanics within DayZ Xbox One edition. That is definitely understandable as things are not exactly explained well within the game. The developers also change-up the controls quite often; so hopefully now that it has fully launched, things will stay as they are. At least, for awhile hopefully. The method of leaning is quite easy in DayZ. It requires you to have a gun, or similar type weapon in your hand. Once you have it placed into your hands, you’ll aim with the “Left Trigger”. Once aiming, you can then use “Right Bumper” or “Left Bumper” to lean. The side from which you’ll lean is self-explanatory within the naming of the two bumpers.

You have the option to tap in order to lean one way, or to hold and adjust the depth of the lean. You’re able to really get a hold of looking around corners, or other objects with this. It’ll certainly change the way combat is handled as you’ll face a more tactical situation if this method of strategy is deployed into the experience. I hope this was generally helpful and straight forward in regards to learning how to do this within the game. If you do click the bumpers with a weapon that’s not a gun or similar, it’ll make you dodge instead.
