The install size for NHL 18 has been revealed coming in at a decent disc size at launch releasing on September 22, 2017 taking up a total of 26.35 GB on the Xbox Marketplace. The game is also Xbox One X enhanced featuring 4k resolution. NHL 18 is the latest release in this hockey simulation from EA Sports and one that once again aims to add a couple new features. The largest new mode this year is NHL Threes, a distinct smaller style of hockey for competitive play against others. Mascots can also hop in on the fun there and it seems to be a more arcade style of hockey. Mechanics wise, the defense now have a special skill stick to better control play and get a better feel on protecting your net.
With the 2017/18 season being an expansion year, the Vegas Golden Knight will be present in full force. Enjoy the completely authentic Vegas experience from the arena to the jerseys and all the minor details one would expect. You can also play a fresh draft mode where you get to make your own expansion team as well. Enjoy hockey once again from EA with minor tweaks, updated rosters and a selection of modes to reflect the current league year. Oh, Connor McDavid of Oilers graces the cover as well if you're curious.
