Fallout 4 Xbox One: How to Install Mods Guide

Mods are now available for the first time on consoles with Fallout 4 Xbox One. This is a guide on how to install mods to the Xbox One version of Fallout 4 going over the Bethesda site installation and the console installation. You can do either separately of each other or use the website to download mods ahead of time which is great. Additionally you can just watch the video if you'd like to get a visual guide on how to install them.

Bethesda Install - The Bethesda Website
-To install mods from the official Bethesda site simply create an account and get all that setup. Then you can click the platform filter on the main page, then change it to Xbox One and it will filter all the Xbox only mods available. You can also filter by which type of mod you want or do a manual search. Once you're done filtering a list of mods will appear, you can either click the downloading looking link when waving over the picture or click it for full details. The full details area will describe the mod, provide photos and allow a rating of the mod along with the ability to click download to my library. Play Fallout 4 and login, the mods will then show up in your library.

Console Install
-Sign into your Bethesda account, lists of all the mods available will then show. You then click one each mod you'd like and click install. You may also need to enable some of the mods since they might rely on other mods that are available. When you click on a mod (they're in categories and available via search) it'll open up the full details. This includes screenshots, a bit of information, a rating and of course the download link. Back out into the main menu and it'll load the order of your mods which may take a minute, this is important as it's checking to make sure they run right. Load up your last save and it'll turn into a separate mod type save route for future adventures. Make sure you turn off/disable all mods if you'd like to go back to regular play as achievements will be turned off otherwise. Additionally it's easy to tell which saves belong to what based on mod saves having a [M] beside them.
