Gears of War 4: Tomorrow Trailer Analyzed

The first story or cinematic reveal trailer for Gears of War 4 is now here done in a live action story of way showing a happy time. It would seem also with this trailer that JD is officially the son of Marcus Fenix and Anya. I put a comparison of Anya below as weren't quite sure who the mother was and the design of the two characters is identical.

You can see she has the same hair, eyes and even the small mole above the lip. Even the eyebrows and general body match, it's great as a fan of the series to see our hero of the first trilogy had a happy ending. The trailer features our new title character JD running through a woods heading home while flashing back in time to running across a field to his father Marcus.




You can catch the trailer below, but I'll also cover some other details I noticed. We were also given a new look at the Swarm which replace the Locust as your enemy creature though nothing new there. The video did however include a new dog like creature that was shown briefly at the end. It didn't show a ton of what to expect in the game, but it did provide some nice details for fans of the series and that I appreciate.

Also, the trailer was titled "Tomorrow" because at the end of Gears of War 3 Anya says we have a tomorrow now to Marcus at the end which is a lovely turn around. The full game releases October 11, 2016 and there's a beta event coming April 18, 2016. I'll have some impressions written up for it and also will have more coverage come E3 2016.
