Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Announced

Now that's the morning after and the official trailer has been released there are now even more details on the overall story for the game that have been announced. Kevin Spacey will play a futuristic head of a PMC (Private Military Corporation) that seems bent on perhaps controlling the United States and the world. At this point we're still unsure what role you will be taking within the game though my original statements below still make sense. There have also been a number of platforms shown on Amazon with Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, Playstation 3 and PC making the list with apparently the Wii U getting snubbed. With the visuals pre-rolling with Xbox One footage it would suggest there will be a heavy connection in that respect of which we have seen the past few years. I still think it looks great with a futuristic take. I'll link the official trailer below here instead of the leaked one and enjoy the entertainment of the next generation Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

Well just a good half day after being announced for a preview of this Sunday we are treated to a leak of the video for Call of Duty Advanced Warfare from Sledgehammer games. Starring Kevin Spacey as a futuristic key or even presidential placement seems to be the nemesis of the game. Aside from the cool futuristic aspects I'll go over in a second, it also seems to put you into the role of a rebel instead of on the main military side as usual where you will be fighting for freedom in America. Now onto the awesome cool stuff such as there's hoverbikes; exoskeleton suites that make you jump high and tons of crazy futuristic technology. The setting itself seems to take place heavily in the United States with the Golden Gate bridge appearing in a couple video shots and clearly metropolitan areas. This should mix it up a bit as though the States is often given some levels this seems to highly revolve around it. Being advanced warfare I would expect nothing else and you can check out all the fantastically awesome looking advances in the trail linked below or the also screenshots. The footage was all taken on Xbox One as stated on the leaked trailer and apparently we will be playing Advanced Warfare on November 4, 2014 with next generation in mind. I'll say it looks like the most refreshing take on the series in recent years and I'm excited for E3 when they will definitely show us a whole walkthrough of a level as the usual. Destructoid are our friendly leakers and all items here are courtesy of them and will of course link to the article below which also has the video on their page, enjoy!

Original Story
So it has come around to that time of the year when another Call of Duty game is to be announced. For the first time it will have a three year development backing it and being developed by first time Sledgehammer games of which I am fond of their work and excited to see how the game will turn out. From the initial screenshot it looks slightly futuristic or mixed with a more science fiction style to it. This I can say based off of the exo skeleton/additional armour that is attached to the soldiers arms. Also the graphics definitely seem far sharper in this one, though gameplay will tell us what we need to know. This will be the first of the series built for the next generation and then I guess will be ported back. All we have here is what appears to be perhaps a main character of their series that can be found below. The full reveal is set for this Sunday. I will also go ahead and assume there will be close ties with Xbox and a full walkthrough at E3 this year. Hopefully this is a more redeeming entry into the series. Photo source from Game Informer.
