Halo 5: Guardians Xbox One X Install Size

The install size for Halo 5: Guardians on Xbox One X has been revealed coming in at a massive size with the enhanced option being available starting November 2, 2017 and now taking up a total of 100.97 GB on the Xbox Store. The base model size is noted at 109 GB prior to the update. It looks as though compression or the new dynamic content download was at play to increase the size (the update) while decreasing the overall space on the console.

The install size was grabbed from the console with the game having been given a large update and it now showing up under "Xbox One X Enhanced Games" tab. The option to turn on 4k assets for games is present under "Settings - System - Backup & transfer - download 4k game content". This install size should be close to the final number as most work from here will most likely be towards Halo 6 and The Master Chief Collection Xbox One X enhanced.

Halo 5: Guardians is the next chapter in The Master Chief's story as he goes against a group of new Spartans that are attempting to track him down. It also brings back the Chief's old squad for a full four player story on both sides of the narrative. Multiplayer was streamlined just like the basic movement system for the fastest paced Halo yet.

The entire game is presented at 4k (3840x2160) on Xbox One X with 60 fps throughout. HDR is currently not available due to some technical difficulties with implementing it in a satisfactory way. The game still gets an incredible boost with the 4k resolution textures among other fixes and the inclusion of Oddball.
