Top 10 Playstation 4 Free to Play Games

Playstation 4 has already built up a fairly long list of free to play games and with new gamers coming in I thought it might be fitting to create a top 10 Playstation 4 free to play games list. I personally would suggest trying out all the free to play games since they're free and it never hurts to check them out. With that out of the way, let's take a look at the list.

#10: The Four Kings Casino & Slots

While it may not be the craziest of games out there it does prevent a somewhat hilarious lobby area to walk around and interact with others. This can all be done while you take in the club or well, play a variety of casino card and slot games around the place. It's simply perfect for any gambler out there.

#9: Star Trek Online

With the awesome port of Neverwinter to consoles we've now been given a solid transfer of Star Trek Online bringing with it a universe of wealth and stories to playthrough. It's got interesting space combat and ground battles as well.

#8: Hawken

Hawken is a fun and great mech based shooter where players battle it out in a variety of battle arenas across many objectives. It's actually really great featuring tactical teamplay and sold competitive modes.

#7: Warframe

Warframe is a title I've largely put aside since it appeared on the console since I'm always so busy reviewing though this game has received great support and is a solid free to play game. It balances melee and gun combat with third person with a wide selection of planets to explore. It does also have a general storyline present, though there's a ton of missions to play cooperatively with friends and more being added all the time.

#6: Planetside 2

Planetside 2 is a massive theater of war where players battle in factions across just the largest wars whether that's on foot or in the variety of vehicles available. It's crazy in scale, looks fantastic and can offer some a vast tactical style of play not present in other shooters.

#5: Loadout

Loadout is a wild third person shooter featuring a decent selection of modes where you can just annihilate enemies in an oddly humerous way. It's well balanced featuring some fun weapons, charming battles and tons of customization to make the battlefield feel unique.

#4: Smite

The announcement for Smite on consoles was rather surprising since I didn't think these game types could port over well, except they did do a wonderful job on porting it to the console. It feels great with the controls and with the tight third person angle it actually does make a lot of sense. This was well done and I've played a great many matches within the arena, definitely worth checking out if you enjoy the genre of arena MOBA.

#3: War Thunder

War Thunder is a massive combat MMO that brings hundreds of detailed planes or ground vehicles to control in a huge battleground. It also has cross-play functionality with a realistic setting to bring an aspect of mostly World War II battles alive. Not only does it provide exciting multiplayer PVP, it also features some campaign and special missions to tackle as well.

#2: World of Tanks Playstation 4 Edition

Tanks are awesome, they're even better to control in large scale online battles as all varieties of tanks come rolling around shooting at each other. It's a simple, yet great concept that I'm surprised took so long to be developed as it's just a bunch of tanks rolling around area mowing down buildings and other tanks. Another title brought forward to the generation recently, the game features great graphic updates and so many intense in-depth tank stats.

#1: Neverwinter

Neverwinter is the craziest and most large scale free to play game I've ever witnessed on a console. I sunk far more hours into this title than I would have ever thought possible working my way up to the max level. It's crazy that they would provide so much content and still create a more streamlined experience for console players. The many combinations ported perfectly over to the controller and they managed to make it so easy to group with friends. If you're looking for a great MMO experience then this is the best place to find it.
