Blast 'Em Bunnies Review

"Carrot Pops"

Campaign

Blast 'Em Bunnies seems like less of a full game and more of a free to play title with additional content. The standard game which I'm reviewing today included just one level arena and two modes. These modes were survival and survive two minutes with both having a couple difficulties to them. I also received the huge amount of DLC content in the more premium pack which would be the only thing of value here as it includes basically the full package of the game. I found it slightly sickening that at launch the base game had a company of eighteen DLC maps which include things such as new arenas, multipliers and skin packs. Aside from just having the two modes present the entire experience is just spinning around on this stationary turret shooting waves of bunnies that are trudging through the field, not a ton too it though I still did have some fun in that regard. It's got some great variation in the types of bunnies that come at you whether they throw things, fly or just hop in your direction. You also earn coins that you'll need to shoot in order to collect which can be spent on upgrades and I know you were thinking additional content which it doesn't.

Gameplay

The environments weren't anything special to look at being mostly bland and dull in color. The characters were better off actually looking great out there with each enemy bringing their own specialties as they moved towards my burrow. There is also a number of ammo selections available as well found in the occasional enemy drop. Each dead enemy also drops a coin with points and you'll need to shoot those in order to collect the points. These points are then spent on upgrades whether that's additional health or new add-on weapons with everything else being paid for DLC. A final aspect of the game are missions which basically just an objective to gain some extra coins by killing so many of a certain creature or things like that while playing the survival modes.

The Conclusion

Blast 'Em Bunnies was somewhat fun to play, but it doesn't really feel like a full game at all sporting just the one arena to play in. There are also no story elements and just two modes which are practically the same making the gameplay become quickly stale. If you're picking this title up which I don't suggest unless it's on sale, then make sure it's the premium full version so there's some variety to the title. Even with that pack i don't feel there's much content to it at all in comparison to the price. Ultimately this game doesn't feel like a game and more like a free to play title or cheaper title that should have additional in-game coin unlocks. Aside from that I can say it was slightly fun at times to shoot the bunnies and can say others might enjoy that for a bit.
