The Turtle Beach Stealth 600 is a solid wireless headset for Xbox One providing a cordless and easy connecting device for extended periods of time. The headset is ready to go right out of the box so you don't have to wait before getting some quality time with it. When it's fully powered it can provide up to fifteen hours of time which is rather incredible and right up to par with similar models. I find it amazing that these headsets are able to get in such a lengthy time like that and still perform without issues. The headset is however locked to the console or the wireless connector for PC, it might have been nice to see a standard cord based audio option as well for a backup.
I'm not negating anything due to this as they work as intended, but a nice alternate connection option could have been a bonus. Again, I was rather impressed with how fast it is to get the headset going. You simply just slightly hold the power button to turn it on and sync it to the console like a controller. It connects basically instantly and even at far distances the headset while completely wireless held connectivity without issue. This goes about as far as a controller does and even slightly further from my testing with it. For charging you can use a micro usb to regular usb, it includes a small cord of the sort. To turn it off you just click the power button and you can set it down to charge or just leave it.
The microphone portion simply flicks down if you want to speak and up to mute, it's easy to tell when the piece is in either position so no guess work there. I'm surprised the mic works so well considering the size of the piece, but it's excellent and clear. Audio is easily adjusted for both game sound and the microphone right from the headset. It has two audio wheels on the left ear on the back. Both are great for quick scrolling to find that perfect balance between what you're playing and who you're speaking to. I did find it odd that the headset plays your voice back to you though I got use to it quickly and it does help for controlling the level of your voice while you wear it. The core areas and outside layering of the Stealth 600 is a hard plastic with the insides of where your head will touch being a soft mesh.
I think this is an interesting setup for a headset as I've seen typically rubber-like material used and I do find the cushion of the mesh to be really soft for longer sessions. The headset should fit any head with minor adjustments to how far the ears go down and there's just enough bend upwards as well. I don't think you can really do much twisting or anything with this set, but with the nature of the shell casing I find it unlikely that you'd be able to damage these. The speakers are 50mm with Neodymium Magnets delivering a 20Hz-20kHz frequency. It sounds really great providing that atmospheric audio for hearing every part of the world in a 3D (binaural) setup. This includes footsteps or explosions to the side, behind or well anywhere. Music is very clear as is voiced audio, there are also a few mode settings for adjustment of bass and treble where you can button cycle through them.
The Turtle Beach Stealth 600 is a light, comfortable option that provides countless hours of game time and screaming at others into your headset. You get to experience the full range of audio from games including support for Windows Sonic and Dolby Atmos. This brings every little sound to life within your battlefield while also filtering in essential audio from your squad. The casing is well designed and I feel that the theme matches the console quite well while also being very distinct when worn. I appreciated how you can just take it out of the box and get going without issues, it connects almost instantly while being ready to go. The headset is comfy for extended hours of gameplay, sounds great and performs well for countless hours of battery life. This is an excellent wireless option for your gaming providing a comfortable and fully immersive experience.
