The install size for Gears of War 4 on Xbox One X has been revealed coming in at a massive size with the enhanced option being available starting October 23, 2017 taking up a total of 103.30 GB on the Xbox Marketplace. The base model size is 93.80 GB and the Windows 10 PC version is 121.23 GB. The install size was grabbed from the console with the game having been given a large update and it now showing up under "Xbox One X Enhanced Games" tab. The option to turn on 4k assets for games is present under "Settings - System - Backup & transfer - download 4k game content". These install sizes should be the final number or well close it with the season pass finishing on the noted date as well.
Gears of War 4 brings forth the next generation of Gears as the old guard is replaced by JD Fenix and his friends. They deal with being outcasts from the COG and then get stuck in an odd situation. This is a mix of conflict between the strange new Swarm menace and the angry COG leaders. The entire game is presented at 4k (3840x2160) on Xbox One X with HDR at 30fps for campaign or Horde. There will be two resolution options with the first being visuals and the other being performance. The first option was noted as 4k, the second option is to play 1080p 60fps for campaign and Horde. This 1080p option will include various improvements and texture upgrades as well. All versions will receive an improve draw distance, God Rays (better lighting) and Dolby Atmos Audio support. Both settings will continue to offer multiplayer versus at a solid 60fps.
