Xbox One X Review Coverage

Xbox One X, the most powerful console ever is fast approaching with a release date of November 7, 2017. This is an exciting time for Microsoft as it puts them forward in the industry by greatly passing their Xbox One console while staying within the same family. Luckily, we've been given the opportunity to produce coverage and a Xbox One X review pre-launch. That's right, we're very excited to get some early hands-on time with the console and the many upgraded games before it releases to everyone else. With that, we've compiled a list of currently planned coverage and what to expect prior to launch.

We fully expect to have a written review and video review/unboxing to accompany our coverage. This will be supported with a number of articles and hopefully videos providing we can get a proper 4k 60fps capture card in time to be used with the review unit. Final details on the video side of things are being worked out as we look at what's available to capture the content. Our articles will focus on the various resolution options for many enhanced games and a comparison in the visual changes found for each. I'll include a list of games we anticipate to have something written up for/covered below.

Aside from the Xbox One generation games, we'll also be taking a look at a number of Xbox Backwards Compatible games for Xbox 360 (maybe Xbox Original, depending on when that releases) to see what is done for improvement on that generation. This may be a couple side articles talking about multiple franchise games running here or just a look at multiple games at once. This will all be handled on a 4k TV with HDR options to get the best out of the console since it is meant to push graphic boundaries. This is an exciting time and we're very happy to be given the opportunity to check it out early in order to give our thoughts on what's available. There will also be Minecraft, lots of Minecraft as we have covered a lot of that.

The games we anticipate we'll cover: Ark: Survival Evolved, Astroneer, Conan Exiles, Crossout, Dead Rising 4, Disneyland Adventures, Madden NFL 18, NHL 18, Elex, Fable Fortune, Fallout 4, Firewatch, Fortnite, Forza Horizon 3, Forza Motorsport 7, Gears of War 4, Halo 5: Guardians, Halo Wars 2, Homefront: The Revolution, Injustice 2, Killer Instinct, Killing Floor 2, Life is Strange: Before the Storm, Minecraft, Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, Paladins, Project Cars 2, Quantum Break, Raiders of the Lost Planet, ReCore: Definitive Edition, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Rocket League, Roblox, Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure, Slime Rancher, The Surge, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Titanfall 2, World of Tanks, Zoo Tycoon.

The bold games are definite titles, everything else really comes down to how early the review unit is available. We're also interested in potentially covering some games releasing around this period of time such as Assassin's Creed: Origins, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Call of Duty: WWII and Star Wars Battlefront II but will have to see what happens in regards to receiving the games to check out. It should be really exciting to cover the Xbox One X and we will hopefully have a wide selection of content available for it.
