The install size for Fortnite has been revealed coming in at a decent disc size having released on July 21, 2017 with constant updates since taking up a total of 25.56 GB on the Xbox Marketplace after the Chapter 2 release. The game is also Xbox One X enhanced featuring 4k resolution with textures at the PC max Epic setting. The Playstation 4 game is 6.69 GB and on Apple IOS the total is 194.90 MB. Fortnite is an odd title in that it was to be launched for a price as an early access game to then become free to play in 2018.

This is a strange way of handling the release since I'm not sure any other title has done that before. From Epic Games and People Can Fly, Fortnite is an online cooperative survival game. At least, it was initially. Another component of the battle royale element expanded the game to new heights, and grew the player base in fresh ways. This offers options for playing against others alone, or in squads with special limited events.

The core of the experience is based around building protective structures while also scavenging for items. Players work together to create a strong defense against oncoming hordes of creatures. Aside from the cooperative aspect there's also a larger competitive mode where players battle against each other.

The game certainly does sound rather appealing being described as Left 4 Dead meets Minecraft and it'll be exciting to play after waiting a very, very long time to play it. That being due to the game having had its initial reveal in 2011. The title continues to grow with additional seasons that alter play, and the file size of the game.

There’s a lot to do, and many ways to play. You’re able to connect with others through cross-play on any device, and play the game however you want with any of your friends. In late 2019 it entered Chapter 2 which brings a brand new map and various changes to the core experience of the title. Check out our hub for additional coverage on this title.
