Xbox Achievements Leader Overtaken

It would seem there's now a shake-up or at least intense competition for the top Xbox Achievements leader as Stallion83 has been overtaken by smrnov. It's still relatively close, but smrnov has come out of nowhere to pass Stallion83 by a fair bit of points. It's been really close for the last couple days until this surge appeared. Stallion83 currently sits at 1,580,859 gamerscore whereas smrnov now has 1,585,315. It should also be noted that the competition is based on the Gamerscore number and not the number of individual Achievements earned.

These scores are incredibly large as I feel sad with only 297,000 and while these scores are close, they're actually somewhat apart. With just under 5000 more gamerscore, that's five full natural game completions that smrnov has over his competition. For context, each Xbox game comes with 1000 Gamerscore at launch if released on Xbox One. For Xbox 360 full games were 1000 Gamerscore at launch with arcade being 200 G then 400 G later. This is intense as once you get to that certain level of unlocks, there are few games to squeeze more juice out of without lots of work/time. More games will come out in the future, but both are likely to burn through the easy ones. If you're wondering how these numbers got so high, they do play basically everything and take advantage of separate releases of the same game from different regions for a boost.

It's just so odd that the leader would let such a large span that he had slip like this since his focus appears to be based around streaming games and unlocking achievements within them. I'm very happy that a fellow Canadian was able to take over the mantle as of the current time and it'll be interesting to see if he can continue to hold onto this lead as I'm sure they're both racing to unlock achievements.
