Halo Going Forward will Always have Splitscreen

One of the disappointing aspects of Halo 5: Guardians was the lack of splitscreen, a staple that has been in every past Halo title. That will however no longer be a problem in the future as Bonnie Ross has stated that "Going forward, Halo will always have splitscreen." at the DICE Summit 2017. She also fit in that this would be focused towards the Halo FPS titles so there might be some spin-offs in other genres that won't have splitscreen. This was discussed during a list of things that 343 has been doing well with Halo and some aspects they regret. Personally; I didn't miss splitscreen in Halo 5: Guardians as online play is the focus these days, but when looking back at past memories of the Halo titles it's something that should be included. It's somewhat saddening that we won't see it come to Halo 5 and it'll be the odd one out in the future, but perhaps it might be added in some future remaster or collection someday. I am also glad that 343 is listening to the Halo community and that the players that want to enjoy the campaign locally together can in the future. You can check out the video below, the time stamp is at about 15-20 minutes in depending on if you want to see the full Bonnie Ross Halo discussion. The chat goes over various aspects of lore, story building and the recent launch of Halo Wars 2 on Xbox One and Windows 10.
