Minecraft is the #1 Selling Xbox 360 Game

It feels like it's been ages since Minecraft first launched on Xbox 360 and playing now it's even crazier to see how much the game has changed with steady updates since release. Launching May 9, 2012 Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition is now the #1 selling Xbox 360 game of all time. As mentioned in the trophy statue I've added and linked below the game has sold over 20 million copies on the platform. That's absolutely crazy considering it released later into the life of the console and going by the current sales of approximately 85 million 360 console sales that means around 24% of sold consoles have a copy of Minecraft to accompany them. It's also note worthy that 4J received such a magical sales award in the shape of the diamond pick axe from the game since most Xbox sales awards are standard in design. Definitely a congratulations to 4J Studios for working on the custom version of Minecraft consoles and am excited to see how the develop the game further on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Nintendo platforms moving forward.
