Zombie Apocalypse Never Die Alone Review

"Back to Apocalypse with a colorful new crew! "

Campaign

The sequel to Zombie Apocalypse, this game basically evolves every aspect of the original. Bringing back the original fun four player aspect, but creating an unique group of zombie killers. Each comes with differing abilities and an awesome voicing. Each of the characters is constantly interacting in a comedic way, each with a great personality. There’s the gamer, the pastor, a British rapper and a girl that’s been making advanced weapons for years! Coming from the smaller maps, the game has opened up to large levels with varying environment. There of course are returning and new zombies to kill, with a smaller amount, but still available environmental things to kill zombies with. Each level also includes challenges where you must complete certain tasks for bonuses on each of them. As you continue killing and playing through you unlock the ability to level up your characters with the money you earn. Making them far more powerfully and the zombies easier to kill. I found though that single player is less fun, as usually your AI partners are always dying, and when you die, you must restart the entire level which is annoying. The game is always in a four man team, but is greatly benefitted when you play with others. Probably the most interesting part of the campaign is its constant mockery to the rest of the zombie genre.

Zombie Apocalypse Never Die Alone

Multiplayer

The games strong point is the concept of everything as the four player team. The game is greatly benefitted by it and teamwork is a lot more necessary in this one. Every part of the game can be done online or offline with a total of four.

Gameplay

The gameplay is pretty much the same as the first with the overhead view of your character. The graphics are upgraded with more scenery and expansive levels. Like the first you can unlock extra modes for even more zombie killing fun!

The Conclusion

The characters are more interesting and better developed this time around. Levels are far more fun, but fairly much it's an upgrade of the last one. It's neat leveling your characters, but I find that some of the main weapons for the characters were god awful. I did have lots of fun and it was nice to get back to this style of game again.
